The Olympics are giving Golden Girls with the USA dominating Womenâs Gymnastics, placing in Rugby for their first medal ever, and Simone Biles just being the GOAT (*ahem* greatest of all TIME, not once in a generation).
So Much Girl Power đ
And letâs not forget the updated presidential ticket, which is giving a whole new generation of girls motivation to continue realizing their potential and reaching for greatness, no matter what. The inspiration (and Kamala memes) are undeniably inspiring and way more hopeful than before.
âThe name has changed at the top of the ticket, but the mission hasnât changed at all,â President Joe Biden
Letâs hope that the spirit of the Olympics, that serving humanity and creating bonds between people no matter their race, ethnicity, gender, creed or beliefs, carries on into Novemberâs way too important presidential election.
On the Podcast
Caroline teaches us the importance of logging off every once and a while and paying attention to our real lives offline. Being able to go touch grass and reconnect with yourself is so much more important for your mental health than tallying up those likes and followers (from MOSTLY strangers btw) on social media.
Bad Millennial tip: If you donât have a followerâs phone number to text or call them IRL, theyâre not your real friend and those opinions donât matter. Also RuPaul said it best: âIf theyâre not paying your bills, pay them no mind.â
Caroline also shares with us her top Toilet Thoughts & Shower Soliloquies that involves us possibly living in a simulation, what makes up âthe perfect city,â and the surprising baking hack that nobodyâs talking about⌠until now!
The Toilet Thoughts & Shower Soliloquies Bad Millennial podcast segment also has a basis in science for why itâs so good so creative thinking! Seriously. TIME Magazine even says, âThe proper balance between engagement and disengagement is turbocharged in the shower[âŚ] Shower thoughts and related mind-wandering are [âŚ] a âbrain blink.ââ
So go help your mind unmoor itself and reset by enjoying these random shower thoughts from guests of the Bad Millennial podcast. Happy mind-wandering!

Why arenât millennials and Gen Z having kids?
Itâs the economy, stupid. The decision to raise kids is changing thanks to the soaring cost of living, concerns about the state of the world, and not having found the right partner. Also, people simply donât want to. Research has also shown that in the United States, people who arenât parents are generally happier than those who are according to a 2016 Pew study. Those surveyed said that not having kids made it easier for them to afford the things they wanted, make time for their interests and career, and save for the future.
'A cesspool': Laid-off California tech workers are sick to death of LinkedIn
This SFGate article says it straight: California tech workers have ended up laid-off, job searching on LinkedIn, and sick of it. As one of many of those laid-off workers, I try to avoid LinkedIn like the plague. LinkedIn is now filled with depressing job pleas and self-righteous posts from influencers and companies about corporate life and virtue signaling, making it a cesspool of shit and broken dreams. Is there a fix? Or is this just capitalism at its finest?
PPG back on top? đ
ALWAYS. Now that Leah, Serena, and JaNa have all reached 1M+ followers on Instagram, it seems like the rest of the world has caught up to their magic. Not to mention my friend Maya, who now has the gift of my Peacock subscription to binge all of the episodes just in time for the August 19th reunion (first of its kind for Love Island). Between all of the rumors of whoâs still together and whoâs clearly broken up, the MESSINESS of side characters yapping on TikTok, and the record amount of podcast interviews (and my first time figuring out Apple Play, kudos Gen Z), Love Island season 6 is going down in the history books.
Never underestimate the power of female friendships in Fiji đš
And on that note, Happy National Girlfriends Day!
This day actually focuses on celebrating the joys of female friendships and the importance of women supporting each other. So, go binge Love Island USA season 6 with your girlfriends! Cheer on Team USA in Womenâs Everything. Dip your toe into the world of Real Housewives. But most importantly, go show appreciation for all the wonderful women in your life that make every day just a little bit more special.
